Lindy Hop

Lindy Hop is a partnered swing dance that originated in the 1920's, 30's and 40's Harlem, New York. It was created by African-American communities and danced to swing jazz music in places like the Savoy Ballroom. Today it is danced all over the world at social dances and in performances!

Balboa

Balboa is a swing dance that emerged in the crowded ballrooms of Southern California during the early 1930's. Balboa is a partnered swing dance characterized by an upright posture and close connection (although the dance often opens up with turns and other movements). There are various styles within Balboa such as 'Pure' Balboa or Bal-Swing.
